What to Expect

whattoexpect
During your consultation, you will meet with Dr. Francel and discuss procedures you are interested in, whether it is a surgical procedure, excision, or dermal injection. Dr. Francel will spend as much time as necessary to help you understand the various procedures and answer all your questions.

If you are meeting in regard to a surgical procedure, Dr. Francel will explain the procedure in depth and you can ask as many questions as you need in order to feel comfortable.

If your consult is for BOTOX® Cosmetic, dermal filler injection, or mole removal, Dr. Francel can perform the procedure that same day or you can make an appointment for an alternative day.

Photographs are available for supervised viewing at the completion of your consultation with Dr. Francel. Our pictures are personal and are private from the general public. If you are our patient, your pictures will be treated in this manner.

After your discussion with Dr. Francel, his staff will sit with you and explain other details such as garments, nutrition, and after surgery care. If you are having a Breast Augmentation, sizing is done at this time.

Following your consultation, you are free to schedule your procedure or take time to think about it, consult family members and then call the office and schedule the surgery when you are ready. Dr. Francel operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Dr. Francel usually has a 1-2 month wait for procedures unless there is a cancellation.

After you schedule your surgery, his staff will speak with you and provide you with detailed pre-op and post-op instructions. Often a second consultation is provided to help answer all your questions and concerns about the procedure.

Between 2-4 weeks before surgery, you may be required (depending on medical history and conditions) to attend a pre-op appointment with an anesthesiologist at Mercy Medical Center. The anesthesiologist will discuss any medical conditions, perform pre-op blood work, and possibly an electrocardiogram.

** You may have your prescriptions filled prior to surgery or you may have them filled at the hospital pharmacy and waiting for you after surgery.
