A Rhytidectomy is the tightening and removal of excess skin of the face and neck. Often, the sagging muscles are tightened and/or fatty tissue deposits below the skin are removed. These areas will appear firmer, fresher and more youthful. Isolated areas may be addressed separately (e.g. neck lift, brow lift, or midface lift). Heredity, skin texture, and bone structure will all play a role in the result of the procedure.

The Procedure
Dr. Francel performs a facelift working through incisions that are placed in the hairline, as well as in front of and behind the ears. The incisions are designed to hide the scars as much as possible. Working on the deeper structures allows a more youthful appearance without the tight, stretched look seen in older technique facelifts.
